CAPPERI is a project co-funded by the IMCAP Programme of the European Union aimed at improving citizens and youths’ awareness on the social, economic, and environmental implications of the Common Agricultural Policy. The project will shed light on how the Future CAP Strategic Plans will be the instrument to achieve the Green Deal goals, how they will support EU policies in managing the transition towards a sustainable food system and in strengthening the efforts of farmers to contribute to the EU’s climate objectives and to protect the environment.

The project’s activities will take place in five different cities across Italy (Vicenza, Milano, Roma, Mesagne and Palermo) and include the implementation of educational pathways in schools and the organisation of workshops and conferences aimed at citizens on a wide range of topics including the Common Agricultural Policy, climate change, generational change in agriculture, local and organic products, food education and sustainable lifestyles.

Irs is partner of the project together with ALDA - European Association for Local Democracy (coordinator), La Piccionaia Centro di Produzione TeatraleReplay NetworkISBEM – Istituto Scientifico Biomedico Euro Mediterraneo and CESIE - Centro Studi e Iniziative Europeo.
